Adams assignment task 1

Idea's:
My first idea was to film someone playing with Lego bricks and someone else playing the play station Lego dimensions game. When the parts of the person playing with the Lego comes up it will be in black and white showing the players that it is the old way with playing with Lego. Then when the Lego dimension's come up in will be in  bring colors and show that this is the new way of playing with Lego.
My second idea is to have a mysterious character playing PlayStation games as well as doing magical things. The mysterious figure will be wearing a black cloak with head covered, they will remain unknown throughout the advertisement.
My final idea was to do a montages of clips. These clips will contain different genres of game for example fantasy, horror, adventure or action.
SWOT:
My strengths for making this advert is that I have good time management as I can make a good schedule and follow it very well. Also, I think that my three ideas are creative and original.
My weakness for making this advert is that own idea won't really attract the normal gaming target audience but this is good because it may attract other groups of people and get them into gaming.
The opportunities that I will get from making this advert, I will be learning how  to use different equipment such as a green screen and how to change the backgrounds on premiere pro. Another opportunity I will have is working as a team.
The threats I will be facing in making this advertisement is if the camera doesn't work. It is also finding the PlayStation that I can use as I don't own one. There is also the budget that I need to take into consideration, I need to make it so it doesn't cost too much to make.

Current gaming market/ target audience:
The majority of the gaming industry is age from 15- 24 years olds. It is also said that these people pay £80 on these games consoles a month. Boy are more likely to play as it is said that 58% in the UK play games where as 42% are girls. On an average people spend 8.8 hours on a game consoles a day. So if I was to make a advert for a game then I would make it so I captures the eye of boys from the age of 15- 24 years. I would also look on PEGI to see what I can and can't put in the game. I would make the game around a 16 so most people in the 15-24 age range can play it.
When doing research I found this image that show that gaming market very well:

  2. Bloodborne
  3. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
  4. Battlefield 1
  5. Rez Infinite
  6. Dark Souls 3
  7. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
  8. The Witness
  9. Until Dawn
  10. Doom

PEGI:
As well as looking at the top ten best PlayStation games for this year, we also looked at PEGI which rates the video games on the context of the game. This was important because it tells us what is the difference between a 16 rated games to an 18. It also tells us what time of the day we should put our advert on.
